The Mazer Brothers company was established in New York in 1920’s by brothers Joseph & Louis Mazer. The company first made shoe buckles, but it was in 1927 that they began producing costume jewellery. Early success has been attributed to designer Marcel Boucher who left & opened his own company in the 1930’s. In 1948 Joseph Mazer opened a separate company with his son Lincoln & continued in business until 1980. This is where the new signature logo of Jomaz was established. Both Mazer & Jomaz are known for their use of high-quality stones & for producing affordable simulations of expensive jewellery.
