Even better: When Kratos teams with the Titan Gaia to battle Poseidon, Gaia's body doubles as the battlefield. Gameplay is a combination of gruesome combat & thought-provoking puzzles. Combat is divided into combo-driven frenetic hack & slash confrontations against lesser enemies & cinematic Quick Time Events against greater enemies that involve pushing specific buttons as they are displayed on screen to execute a sequence of special attacks. For example, pushing circle to wrap chains around a Gorgon's head & then rapidly pushing L1 & R1 to tighten the chain & rip its head off. One of my favorites was pushing L1 & R1 to gouge the eyes of an enemy. & Remastered Means... Having extensively played the original God of War III, I spent a lot of time looking for the improvements that went into God of War III Remastered. This is truly a remaster, not an update. The artistic style was so strong in the original game that I see it as a positive that little has been changed other than adding detail & sharpening edges. The remaster boosts the framerate & smooths gameplay; God of War III Remastered runs at 60 frames-per-second, with very few drops.
