- The man behind the design. Born in Taiwan but now based in Manhattan Jason Wu sparked his interest in fashion after learning how to sew. Triggering a lifelong passion he expanded his skills & took up full time study of sculpture in Tokyo. During his teenage years Wu worked for Integrity Toys designing his own range of self modelled dolls. While in his senior year of high school Wu decided to take up the career of a designer producing his first collection of clothes in 2006. This exciting range won him Fashion Group Internationals Rising Star Award in 2008. In Spring 2011 Wu branched out from clothing to launch a range of highly successful nail polishes. Clients such as Michelle Obama have worn his designs & creations to grand public events including the presidential inauguration of her husband Barack Obama.
