Whimsical Log Cabin by Maggie Wise A delightful variation on log cabin, with four patch centres. Combine plain and textured fabrics with complementary subtle prints, and make this small rectangular quilt to hang on your wall. The log cabin blocks begin with a four patch centre, and the tilted effect appears when the block is trimmed. The whimsical feeling of movement is enhanced by hand or machine quilting simple curved lines, drawn freehand through the logs.
