Corgi Trackside AEC Wrecker
- British Road Services (BRS) AEC was a UK based vehicle manufacturer which built buses & trucks from 1912 until 1979. The acronym stood for the Associated Equipment Company, but this name was hardly ever used; instead it traded under the AEC & ACLO brands. While famously associated with the London Routemaster bus, AEC supplied commercial vehicles to many companies both domestically & around the world. British Road Services was established in 1948 & was the company that formed following the nationalisation of Britain’s road haulage industry, under the British Transport Commission, as a result of the Transport Act 1947.
