The real Northrop F-5E Tiger II are part of a family of widely used light supersonic fighter aircraft, designed & built by Northrop in the United States, beginning in 1960s. Hundreds remain in service in air forces around the world. The F-5E " Tiger II" was a greatly enhanced version of the earlier F-5A " Freedom Fighter". Redesigned as a highly maneuverable, lightweight & inexpensive air superiority fighter, the E featured an air-to-air fire control radar system & a lead computing gun sight. More powerful J85 engines required the fuselage to be both widened & lengthened. The forward wing root was redesigned to give the " Tiger II" wing its characteristic triple delta shape. This excellent model is based on the US Navy desert camo finish. The real F-5E Tiger IIThis F-5E is one of the highest spec & quickest jets on the market. It is a massive 1.3m in length & is fitted with a 70mm EDF. Extra power & speed is produced by the big 14.8V, 2200mah Li Po battery & 40A brushless setup. It's a highly maneuverable model that can easily perform inverted flight, loops & rolls etc. The model comes pre-painted with everything you need included apart from the normal AA batteries for the transmitter. The model is almost ready to fly out of the box with only very minor assembly required such as attaching the wings. Everything you need to complete is included in the box. Included is a 5ch 1000m range transmitter, electronic speed controller, ducted fan with electric brushless motor & 8 electric servos all pre-installed. The 5ch transmitter gives full 3D control of the aileron, elevator, rudder, throttle & retracts. The 70mm ducted fan system with the brushless motors & li-po battery gives enormous power pushing the jet to crazy speeds. The high power allows full aerobatic characteristics & inside loops, outside loops, axial rolls, inverted flight, knife edge, stall turns, hammerheads, & spins are all possible. The unique scheme used on this model is a perfect replica of the special upgraded Brazilian F-5E shown below which was designed to celebrate 30 years of service of the F-5E Tiger in the Brazilian Air Force.1-5/8" wingspan, 34-7/8" long, 125 sq. in. wing area, 18-1/2 oz. flying weight. Tough EPO foam construction makes a more durable airframe, less prone to dings & dents. The Jet comes with all the major components pre-installed & ready for final assembly. All you need to do to complete is glue in place the vertical fin, rockets & the EPO nose cone. The 64mm fan is installed with a smooth-running out runner motor & a 30 amp speed control. The 4 servos (2-aileron, 2-elevator) are pre-installed & pre-connected to the flying surfaces. It just doesn't get much easier than this.
