Tamiya 1:48th Scale Russian Infantry & Tank Crew 32531 Tamiya 1/48 Russian Infantry & Tank Crew WWII is a plastic model kit in the Tamiya 1/48 Military Plastic Model Kits. This plastic kit requires paint & glue to complete. While sustaining huge losses at the onset of war, the Russian army was able to halt the German advance just short of Moscow thanks largely to the strength of their tank troops. Following concentrated artillery fire, tanks advanced in three waves with infantry riding on the tanks of the 2nd & 3rd waves. Since the Russian Ground Forces did not possess armored troop carriers like halftracks & universal carriers, so-called Motor Rifle Units" were attached to every tank brigade to provide infantry support. Once encountering an enemys defensive position, tank riders would disembark, attack the position, & then remount to proceed with the offensive. These infantrymen spearheaded many attacks, & suffered heavy casualties from defending fire. Paint & Glue not included Manufacturer: Tamiya Model: 32521 Russian Infantry & Tank Crew WWII ...

The Tamiya 1/48 Russian SU-122 is a plastic model kit in the Tamiya 1/48 Military Plastic Model Kits. This plastic kit requires paint & glue to complete. The Soviet Unions first assault gun to be produced was a machine armed with a 122 mm howitzer called the SU-122. It was designed by engineer E.W. Wilniszczikov with the assistance of F.F. Pietrov, the king of Russian gun designers, who had designed the 122 mm gun. This was an excellent howitzer with a range of 11, 800 m, muzzle velocity of 515 m/sec & rate of fire of 5 or 6 rounds/min. The SU-122 self propelled gun was similar in shape to the German Stu G III armed with the short barreled 75 mm gun. With its bulky recoil mechanism & mantlet, the first production SU-122 was quite unsightly. The final production model, however, featured refined semi spherical recoil mechanism & gun shield. The SU-122 assault gun first saw action in the Battle of Kursk in the summer of 1943. SU-122s took part in the recapture of Orel to the north of Kursk & in the subsequent pursuit. Russian SU-100 Kit - 1/25

Available from mid march! Order now to get your model first! In 1943, the Russian SU-76 self-propelled gun was no longer effective to battle the new German tanks. During the end of 1943, the SU-85 was developed to replace the SU-76 self-propelled gun. The SY-85 was based off of the T-34 hull and armed with a 85mm gun. However, due to the thickness of the armor, demand grew for a more powerful tank. The SU-85 was modified in 1944. It was outfitted with a 100mm gun and renamed the SU-100. The 100mm did not have the same piercing power as the German 75mm or British 17pdr guns, but it was heavier than the 75mm and allowed the Russian army to easily destroy the German tanks. The turret-less design also was an advantage because labor and construction costs were 20% less. In contrast, the
turret-less design left the SU-100 weak in narrow or sloped terrain. As a result, the SU-100 was used as fire support for infantry and anti-tank combat. The SU-100 remained in service until the 1970s. Specification: Limited edition 1/25 scale plastic assembly kit. New parts to depict wooden logs have been especially included for this re-release.Moveable torsion bar suspension features same construction as seen on the actual tank. Each hatch can be open and closed. Realistic link-type assembly tracks included.
