Following the lead of the very successful Hercules, the new Advanced Scale Models 1/10th scale B-17 Flying Fortress is the second in the four engined series of models from this innovative manufacturer. The full size B-17 is one of the all time classic military aircraft & was made famous during WW2, when it was a common sight in European skies. Designed to suit either. 40-.46 two stroke or. 52-.56 four stroke engines, the B-17 is equally suitable for electric power, with its light weight & substantial wing area making it a stable & easy to fly scale replica. Flaps are fitted as standard & are very effective, reducing both take off & landing distances, & lowering the stalling speed, meaning that the B-17 can be flown at many sites previously off limits to large multi engine scale models. Construction utilises the proven ASM system of a fuselage consisting of ply formers with carbon longerons, this substructure being clad in ABS plastic, accurately simulating the curvaceous shape of the full sized aircraft. Flying surfaces are of conventional construction, being fully built up from high quality balsa & ply, & being completely sheeted prior to covering in film, which is then painted to match the finish on the fuselage & the fibreglass engine nacelles & cowlings. With a superb flying performance & amazing presence in the air, the ASM B-17 is the ideal way to own & fly your own large scale multi engine bomber, & to allow easy transport & storage the model can be broken down into surprisingly small components, the wing being in three sections whilst the two part fuselage is simply bolted together, & the tailplane halves are also removable. Options available include retracting undercarriage & spring loaded struts. Specification Wingspan: 3050mm (120in) Weight: 11.3kg (25lbs) Servos: 12 (8 x 6kg minimum, 4 x std) – GPRadio System: 6-8 Channel Electric Motor: KMS Quantum 2826/05 x 4IC Engine. 40 2-Stroke, . 52-.56 4-Stroke x 4 Li Po: Impulse 4S 4000m Ah x 4S/C Rec: KMS Optima 60 Opto x 4 Manufacturer: Ripmax Model: ASM B-17G Flying Fortress ARTF (A-ASM010) ...

Developed as a fighter, the F7F Tigercat was notable for its twin engines, slim fuselage, tricycle undercarriage & shoulder mounted wings. Fast, powerful & well armed, the Tigercat arrived in service just too late to see action in WW2, consequently many orders were cancelled, resulting in a total of only 364 being built – 6 still being airworthy at the time of writing. The ASM F7F is an exciting replica of the original. Its impressive 2, 090mm wingspan results in a model that is big enough to fly superbly, with a low wing loading for docile stall & landing characteristics, yet due to the three piece wing, it breaks down easily to fit into most vehicles. Although not a beginner's model, the F7F is the ideal intro into the world of scale twins as its flying performance is so good, even if one engine stops in flight. Due to ASM's unique airframe design, it is substantially lighter than traditionally built examples, which all translates into easier flying, gentler landings & better aerobatic performance. The ASM F7F Tigercat comes fully built & covered, leaving only final assembly plus radio, engine, & optional retract installation. The model can be finished with working retract doors & beautiful aluminium frame air-retracts (sold separately) to achieve a truly scale appearance. (Note: Prototype Shown in Images) Specification Wingspan: 2090mm (82") Electric Motor: 2 x KMS 4120/06 (Optional) Li Po: 2 x Impulse 5S 4000m Ah S/C Rec: 2 x KMS Sentry 60IC Engine: 2 x. 53~.61 2-Stroke or 2x. 70~.90 4-Stroke Manufacturer: Ripmax Model: ASM F7-F Tigercat ARTF (A-ASM006) ...

ASM Avro Lancaster ARTF (A-ASM011)

The Avro Lancaster is probably the most famous of all the British four engine heavy bombers of the war years and was possibly the most effective bomber of the period. It became world famous for its role in one of the most audacious raids of the war, the attack against the Mohne, Eder and Sorpe Dams on the Ruhr by Lancasters from 617 Squadron, this being immortalised in the 1955 film of the raid, entitled “The Dambusters”.This superb 1/10th scale replica comprises a fuselage with an internal structure of ply formers and carbon fibre longerons, with the outer skin being moulded from tough ABS plastic. Wings and tail surfaces are all built up and sheeted, using laser cut ribs for accuracy, prior to being sheeted with best quality balsa, following which they are covered in film and
the final paint finish is applied. To assist in both transport and storage the model breaks down into manageable sections, the tailplane halves being removeable, the fuselage separating into two pieces and the wing into three, with assembly at the field taking just a few minutes. With a wingspan of a full ten feet, the ASM Lancaster is an imposing sight in the air, and with the relatively low wing loading is an easy to fly and very stable model. The flaps are highly effective, enabling the model to fly into and out of fairly restricted runways, and the low speed handling is excellent, making take off and landing simple. Either two or four stroke engines can be used, or as an alternative, modern electric power is eminently suitable giving the additional benefits of lack of noise
and almost complete reliability.Options available include retracting undercarriage, spring loaded struts, bomb door opening kit and scale bomb load. SpecificationWingspan: 3050mm (120")Length: 2032mm (80")Weight: 13kg (28.7lb)Servos: 17 (8x6kg, 2x3kg mini, 7xstd) - GPRadio System: 7 - 9 Ch.IC Engine. 40 2-Stroke, . 52-.56 4-Stroke x 4 Manufacturer: RipmaxModel: ASM Avro Lancaster ARTF (A-ASM011)
