The Italeri Lockheed AC-130 Gunship in 1:72 scale from the plastic aircraft model range accurately recreates the real life US heavily-armed ground attack aircraft. This plastic aircraft kit requires paint & glue to complete. The Lockheed AC-130 gunship Spectre is the heavily-armed close-support version of the popular C-130 Hercules. The basic airframe is manufactured by Lockheed, & Boeing is responsible for the conversion into a gunship & for aircraft support. The AC-130A Gunship II superseded the AC-47 & the AC-119 in the Vietnam War. The US Air Force uses the AC-130 gunships for close air support, air interdiction, & force protection. Close air support roles include supporting ground troops, escorting convoys, & flying urban operations. Air interdiction missions are conducted against planned targets & targets of opportunity. Force protection missions include defending air bases & other facilities. The AC-130 Gunship first arrived in South Vietnam on 21 September 1967 under the Gunship II program, & began combat operations over Laos & South Vietnam that year. By 30 October 1968, enough AC-130 Gunship IIs arrived to form a squadron, the 16th Special Operations Squadron (SOS) of the 8th Tactical Fighter Wing (TFW), at Ubon Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thail&. By December 1968 most AC-130s were flown under F-4 Phantom II escort from the 479th TFS, normally three Phantoms per Gunship. During the Vietnam era, the various AC-130 versions following the “ Pave Pronto” modifications were equipped with a magnetic anomaly detector (MAD) system called the Black Crow (AN/ASD-5), a highly sensitive passive device with a phased-array antenna located in the left-front nose radome that could pick up localized deviations in earth's magnetic field. The Italeri Lockheed U-2R Senior Span in 1:48 scale from the plastic aircraft model range accurately recreates the real life US high altitude reconnaissance aircraft. This plastic aircraft kit requires paint & glue to complete. In the early 1950s, the U.S. military required a strategic reconnaissance aircraft to help determine Soviet military capabilities. It was thought an aircraft that could fly at no less 70, 000 feet (21, 000 m) would be beyond the reach of Soviet fighters, missiles, & even radar. This would allow "overflights" knowingly violating a country's airspace to take aerial pictures. The first flight occurred at the Groom Lake test site (the famous Area 51) on 1 August 1955. The sailplane-like wings were so efficient that the aircraft climbed into the air at 70 knots (130 km/h). The U-2R, first flown in 1967, is significantly larger & more capable than the original aircraft. A tactical reconnaissance version, the TR-1A, first flew in August 1981. A distinguishing feature of these aircraft is the addition of a large instrumentation "superpod" under each wing. Designed for standoff tactical reconnaissance in Europe, the TR-1A was structurally identical to the U-2R. In 1992 all TR-1s & U-2s (all U-2 Rs) were designated U-2 Rs. The Italeri Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk in 1:72 scale from the plastic aircraft model range accurately recreates the real life US made unamanned airial vehicle. This plastic aircraft kit requires paint & glue to complete. In role & design, the Northrop Grumman Global Hawk is similar to the famous U-2, the venerable 1950s spy plane. The Global Hawk is able to provide high resolution Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) that can penetrate cloud-cover & sandstorms, & electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) imagery at long range that allows it to survey as much as 40, 000 square miles (100, 000 square kilometres) of terrain a day. The Global Hawk can fly a distance of 22, 236 km, at a height of 19, 812 metres above the ground & at a speed of about 740 km/h, & has an endurance of 35 hours. It has a wingspan of 35.3 metres, a length of 13.4 metres, a height of 4.6 metres, & a takeoff weight of about 12, 000kg with a load capacity of 907.20 kg. Global Hawk uses ground & satellite data links for sending images in real time to military stations when in the air, at sea, or on the ground. When the Global Hawk is programmed with the mission parameters, the UAV craft can position itself, take off & fly autonomously within the surveillance area, before then returning & landing.

Starting in December of 1942 he gained valuable experience under the command of Sqn Ldr Tadeusz Sawicz. By the end of the war, Capt. ' Gabby' Gabreski was the leading American ace in the skies over Europe. Lt F Ohr, 2nd FS/52nd FG, Palermo, Sicily, August 1943. Lt. Fred Ohr holds the unique distinction of being the only USAAF ace of Korean ancestry during World War II. From Oregon, he joined the 52nd Fighter Group in Tunisia flying Spitfires. It wasn’t long before Lt. Ohr & his group happened upon a flight of Ju 88s & he claimed his first victory. Italieri Pz. Kpfw.VI Tiger I Hibryd (6487) During the last years of the war, the Germans, to make up for their scarce production output, reconditioned vehicles that were worn-out by the war use. Period photos show that at the moment of Germany's defeat, many vehicles had been collected in factories, & were ready to be put back in operation by replacing worn-out or combat-damaged parts. Reliable sources confirm that the last Tigers to come out of assembly lines were reconstructed with salvaged

Materials:
54 hulls & 32 turrets of the first series, possibly from tanks used in training units. Their wheels were replaced by the latest, full-metal ones, & on some tanks the anti-magnetic “ Zimmerit” paste was applied directly in the factory. In the last weeks of war, they took part in the last engagements of the various Kampfgruppe (combat groups formed with units coming from different detachments) that were trying to stop the Allied units swarming over Germany from East & West.
