Our 2009 special, the 13th & final issue of the year, is a bit of a landmark for good woodworking. gathering together many of the jottings & ideas from our readers & writers over the years, it’s a tribute to gw’s past – & the impressive lore collected there over more than 200 issues. what’s more, we hope it’ll provide a reference to lead you into a new year of woodworking. you’ll find sections on veneering, finishing, design, marquetry, workbenches & much more, filling you with practical advice & hopefully encouraging you to try some experiments, all of it with an emphasis on using everyday hand tools & a real enjoyment of working wood. This excellent starter set boasts a feisty little shunting locomotive which is more than capable of moving the assortment of wagons around the oval of track included with this set. The locomotive is based on a Class 06 locomotive which saw most of is working life in the shunting yards of Scotl&.
