Designed by Tony Nijuhis It's a lovely model, eye-catching with plenty of presence & another worthy addition to the Nijhuis stable of scale designs. The model spans 72" & is powered by four BRC Hobbies A2409-12T brushless motors that together generate 800 watts
- plenty sufficient to take the 8lb model aloft
- she'll take off from grass! Four servos are required, two for aileron with one each for elevator & rudder. Tony used four budget Hi Model 25amp ESCs & four 3S 2200m Ah Li-Po batteries.

The last of these (Mi G 25 Foxbat & English Electric Lightning) appeared in the May ‘08 issue, & ed. Graham thought it was about time I penned another battling pair. The question was: what would the subjects be? I couldn’t come up with anything so Graham & I sat down over a cuppa to come up with suitable candidates. Lots of tea, lots of head scratching, but no ideas came to the fore
- likely pairings covering the major confl icts (W.W.I to the jet era) had all been done. At this rate the Mi G & Lightning looked like being the last of my paired plans

Oh, & no pressure old chap, but can you have ‘em done for the next issue?” Bearing in mind that I was already embroiled in the design of the Lysander that will be appearing in the RCM&E Special later this year, I was faced with quite a challenge.
