This new Premium Edition kit from Dragon contains over three hundred parts including a photoetch fret, & ship name stickers for the display base, if building the full hull version. Although based upon their earlier releases of the Bismarck (kit 7060) & Tirpitz (kit 7047), there are some nice improvements with this new kit. The photo-etch fret included with the kit has added several new items, including radar, & anchors not available the first time around. Dragon has also replaced all of the soft plastic items in the original kits with their standard plastic, but these are slide-molded so that they contain excellent detail. This change in the plastic only affects two sprues, but is a welcome change if you worked with the soft plastic parts in the past. Aside from these items, the kit remains unchanged from the release of five years ago, & can be built as either a waterline, or full hull version of the ship.
