The company that began as a one man band in 1945 by Joseph Cyril Bamford now employs thousands of people & operates in four continents producing quality vehicles all bearing the famous logo & distinctive yellow livery. Introduced in 1963, the JCB 3C Mk 1 Backhoe Loader marked JCB’s arrival as a major market leader in the construction industry. The JCB 3C was powered by the same Fordson Super Major tractor skid as its predecessor the JCB 3, but it was larger than longer digging arms & a more spacious cab. With a maximum reach of 18ft & maximum digging depth of 13ft the JCB 3C continued in production until replaced in 1968 by the Mk II range.
