Black Horse OV-1 Mohawk EP ARTFThe OV-1 Mohawk has the distinction of being the first Turboprop aircraft operated by the US Army. Designed for battlefield surveillance with light strike capability, the heavily armoured Mohawk carried two crew members side-by-side & proved to be perfect for operation from short or unimproved runways in support of Army manoeuvres. Its proportions make it ideal as a model & Black Horse have re-created this unique aircraft in an easy-to-fly model that only requires two modest size brushless motors for excellent flight performance. The Mowhawk has a light wing loading, is docile to fly & would make an excellent first twin. Most mouldings are accurately produced in glass fibre, with lightweight plastic used in lightly stressed areas. The combination of 2 x KMS Quantum 2814/06 motors, 2 x KMS Sentry 40 controllers & an Impulse 3S 4800 Li-Po battery, provide excellent levels of performance & duration.
