Designed in 1949 by Danish Hans Wegner, the Wishbone Chair was originally inspired by classical portraits of Danish merchants sitting on Chinese Ming chairs. Also referred to as Y chair due to the 'Y' shaped back.  The Wishbone is widely utilised as a dining or occasional chair, making it one of the great Danish iconic furniture designs of the 20th century. Our Wishbone style chair is a high quality reproduction & remains true to the original design. Available in 7 beautiful colour choices
- red, white, orange, black, violet, wood, yellow – making it easy to fit in with any modern or traditional interior. The name Hans J Wegner is only used to describe the characteristics of the goods made to the original design, & not as a trademark.
