It employs Al-Ko’s patented new cutter-deck technology, whereby the aerodynamic deep-domed Max Airflow deck works to create a powerful air-stream that ensures even long and/or damp grass can be successfully collected, with no worries about the clumping that can cause the discharge-chute to become blocked (the chute is significantly wider than those found on most comparable mowers). In addition to collection, the Al-Ko 523-SP Highline also gives the option to rear-discharge; side-discharge; or mulch cut grass, so it’s capable of taking all manner of grass-types in its stride. No tools are required to switch between modes. The Al-Ko 523-SP Highline 4-in-1 Petrol Lawn Mower has been fitted with an ultra-dependable 190cc Briggs & Stratton 650-Series four-stroke engine, which features a pleated flat-panel air-filter for superior component protection; & a float-feed carburettor for consistent first-time starts. A large-diameter recoil starter means the engine will fire-up with a gentle pull. The high-capacity 70-litre grassbox on the Al-Ko 523-SP features Al-Ko’s new Easy Click mounts, which make it a breeze to detach & refit. A level-indicator shows when a trip to the compost-heap is imminent; while venting allows air to escape, in turn enabling the collector to be fully packed. Equipped with an ergonomic multi-function handlebar; a wide 51cm cut & a self-propelled transmission, the Al-Ko 523-SP will allow you to finish the sort of large-scale jobs it has been designed for quickly & comfortably. It has a seven-step height-of-cut range (30 – 80mm), which is centrally controlled for quick-&-easy adjustment; & it boasts large-diameter drive-wheels for easier turning in long-grass, & increased traction on slippery surfaces.
