Citroen 2CV (1983) in Blue (1:18 scale)
- The 2CV (in french deux chevaux), generally called “ Duck” in Germany, was a popular car by the car manufacturer Citroen. The development of this French counterpart of the VW Käfer began in the 1930s. The first close to production car was presented to the public on the 7th of October 1948 in Paris. Smiled at by the press at first, the 2CV became one of the most known French cars in the following decades. Between 1949 & 1990, 3.868.631 units of the Citroen 2CV & 1.246.335 units of the 2CV delivery van were produced. The 2CV was among others the basis for the Citroen cars Dyane, Ami & Méhari.
