Ford Cortina Mk IV Ghia Estate (1979) in Red (1:43 scale)
- The Cortina Mk 1V was a reskinned Mk 111 & the work of Uwe Bahnsen. This model represents a Ghia Estate version of 1979. Ghia had originally been an Italian Styling concern producing special coachwork for a variety of companies. After the company"s purchase by Ford this once proud name was reduced to an up-market trim option.
Cortina"s Estate version was a spacious well-planned & popular vehicle combining generous load space & good looks in an era before today"s "lifestyle" station wagons which often end up with less loadspace than their hatchback equivalents.
