Sodium polyphosphate chelates calcium ions making them unavailable for tartar formation. It is highly hydrophilic & spreads through the whole oral cavity, including areas that are not in physical contact with Oral Bar during mastication. Zinc facilitates calcium dissolution & slows down its incorporation into tartar. Bad breath is the result of bacteria produced volatile sulphur compounds (V.S.C.). Ingredients in Oral Bar (zinc, eucalyptus & green tea polyphenols) reduce the production of V.S.C..
