Royal Ballet Mixed Programme at the Royal Opera House A Brilliant Mixed Programme of Dance The return of Limen, new in the 2009/10 Season, combines the energetic & demanding style of Wayne Mc Gregor with startling visuals & the futuristically raw sounds of Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho. Frederick Ashton’s Marguerite & Armand was created for Fonteyn & Nureyev. Its return to the repertory brings some exciting debuts in the demanding central roles. Requiem is Kenneth Mac Millan’s tribute to choreographer John Cranko. A young boy’s haunting dilemma is beautifully set to the music of Gabriel Faur. This first mixed programme of the Season shows a wonderful contrast of emotions & styles, under the baton of Barry Wordsworth, the Music Director of The Royal Ballet.
