Product Description

The Sound of Music at The Manchester Palace One of Our Favourite Things The Sound of Music is one of the world’s most popular musicals, with an unforgettable score by Rodgers & Hammerstein that was immortalised on screen by Julie Andrews. Set in Austria, around the time of the Second World War, The Sound of Music tells the story of a young postulant named Maria who spends time as a governess to the von Trapp family. Captain von Trapp is a widower & his children, although quite a boisterous handful, soon take Maria to their hearts. Maria eventually returns to the convent, ready to take her monastic vows, but her feelings for the Captain have grown & leave her with a difficult life decision to make. The Sound of Music
