- Designed for single-ended supply operation in the range 8 to 18V & applications including in-car stereos & radios The device can output 6W into a 4 Omega load from a 14.4V supply & up to 12W into loads down to 1.6 Omega. Two can be used to form a bridge delivering 18W into 4 Omega from a 14.4V supply. Completely safe operation is guaranteed due to protection against DC & AC short-circuit between all pins & ground with thermal overrange load dump voltage surge up to 40V & fortuitous open ground. No electrical insulation is required between the mounting tab & the heatsink but lead lengths should be as short as possible.
