- Operates at 230V 13A When plugged in to a standard socket this unit will protect connected electrical appliances from damage caused by mains voltage surges or current & voltage peaks triggered by lightning strikes which penetrate in to the mains supply. The green lamp on the front of the unit lights to indicate surge protection is active. If the lamp is not lit the socket has absorbed the voltage surge & the connected appliance will no longer be protected.
