The Free Agent Dock Star network adaptor is a compact dock which allows Free Agent Go portable drives & most USB (Universal Serial Bus) storage device to be shared on your local network or accessed remotely via the internet after service activation. The Free Agent Go drive simply slides into the Free Agent Dock Star network adapter making it easy to remove when you want to take the drive with you while on-the-go. All other USB (Universal Serial Bus) storage devices plug into one of the two rear-mounted or one side-mounted USB (Universal Serial Bus) ports. The Free Agent Dock Star network adapter simultaneously supports up to four storage devices so you will never have to worry about running out of storage space. & you will experience incredible performance with Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. The installation process couldnt be any easier. Simply plug in two cables power & Ethernet & visit the web activation page to activate & automatically configure the network adapter. Once activated you can access all your files with a clean web-based interface. The same interface is used to view files from any networked computer in your home & outside of the home when accessing files remotely. The user interface displays all the files on all of the drives you have connected to the Free Agent Dock Star network adapter along with all of the files shared with you by other Free Agent Dock Star network adaptor owners. You can easily navigate the user interface with thumbnail or list views search by file name or filter by media type. The Free Agent Dock Star network adaptor also appears like a local drive on your computer so that you can easily navigate & drag-&-drop files just like a folder on your desktop. With a free iPhone app you will always have access to your content even while on-the-go. Plus the app means that you can send pictures straight from your iPhone to a folder on the Free Agent Dock Star network adapter. The Free Agent Dock Star network adaptor offers one of the easiest ways to share files with friends anywhere in the world. Simply type in your friends email addresses & they will receive an email linked to the folders or files you chose to share with them. They will now have access to their own Free Agent Dock Star interface which displays all of the files shared with them.
