- Optional warning of accident black spots The Novus Piccolo uses the latest GPS technology to determine its proximity to speed cameras. The Novus Piccolo database warns the driver of an approaching speed camera by an initial voice alert at 500 yards. Bright LEDs indicate the distance from the approaching speed camera. If at 200 yards from the camera the vehicle is exceeding the speed limit the Novus Piccolo will advise the driver to reduce speed. The Piccolo is powered from the supplied DC 9-24 volt charger which means it can be used in both cars & trucks. As an exclusive offer from Maplin the package contains two adhesive magnetic mounts
- meaning it is ideal for those that need to use it in two different vehicles such as a company car & privately owned vehicle. Also included are a USB (Universal Serial Bus) chargingupdate cable requires a PC with a USB (Universal Serial Bus) port & internet connection to download updated speed camera locations warranty registration card instruction manual & safety card. The Piccolo is powered by a Si RFStar III GPS chipset which means that it is able to receive a GPS signal even through heated & heat reflective windscreens
