The PIC16C711 is a low cost high performance MOS fully static 8-bit microcontroller with integrated analogue-to-digital AD converters. The PIC16C711 has enhanced core features 8-level deep stack & multiple internal & external interrupt sources. The separate instruction & ata busses of the Harvard architecture allow a 14-bit wide instruction word with the separate 8-bit wide data. The 2 stage instruction pipeline allows all instructions to execute in a single cycle except for program branches which require 2 cycles. A total of 35 instructions reduced instruction set are available. in addition a large register set gives some of the architectural innovations used to achieve a very high performance. The PIC16C711 typically achieves a 21 code compression & a 41 speed improvement over other 8-bit microcontrollers. It fits perfectly in applications ranging from security & remote sensors to appliance control & automotive. PIC16C711 devices are supported by the complete range line of Microchip development tools.
