- without fear of damage to the car by obstacles hidden from your view. As well as alerting you of parked cars the system can detect small children & low walls which are out of normal vision. Unlike Ultra-sonic systems the Electronic Parking Sensor does not require adjustment or re-alignment during fitting & is cost effective to replace in the event of an accident. The sensor mounting consists of an electronic unit an aerial & acoustic sounder & a special bi-adhesive tape to mount the ariel inside the bumper. The small control unit is then placed in the bumper & connected to the vehicles reversing light. Stationary objects in front of the bumper like a towing bar would not activate the signal & does not influence the normal operation of the EPS parking system. Engaging the reverse gear activates the control unit which generates a protective zone around the bumper. A bleeper emits an audio signal when an obstacle comes into the controlled area behind the car. The frequency of the warning increases as the distance to the obstacle is reduced. The Antenna is a thin flexible adhesive strip that is attached behind the bumper. Its 2000mm length ensures a total coverage of the largest vehicle providing an all round detection zone. The Control Unit mounts either inside the boot or behind the vehicle bumper & the Speaker is discreet 20mm in diameter & fits easily inside the vehicle.
