With two of the best pubs in the entire Cotswolds about 100 yards away in either direction The Tap Room has to be as perfectly located holiday cottage you could possibly want! This cute, Grade Two listed Cotswolds' cottage is over 400 years old & is 'a-typical' for a classic cottage, with exposed stone walls & oak beams, however this was, once upon a time, the village cider store. (We were given its history by the one of the neighbours who tell us that the cider was produced next door & people used to come to the front window of The Tap Room with jugs, order their cider & then take it home
- the first ever 'take away cider house' we wonder!?!) Today the character of the old building remains intact all beautifully mixed with contemporary furniture & furnishings. The open plan living space downstairs is ample for four, with the two cosy bedrooms upstairs within the cottage's eaves comfortable for a family or pair of couples. Even though you have absolutely everything you need inside, there's little doubt in our mind that anyone staying here is likely to 'fill their boots at the two pubs' & for those that fancy a slightly longer stroll there is the beautiful Daylesford Farm Organic Shop, Spa & Restaurant just a mile up the road. With the surrounding honeystone villages & countryside this is a 'true Cotswolds' bolt hole.ACCOMMODATIONEntrance through to open plan area. Living Room a lovely, triple aspect room with two sofas, TV & DVD & for those with children you will find toys & games within the leather ottoman. The lounge is where they used to serve the cider once upon a time! Kitchen / Diner, well equipped modern kitchen with electric hob, oven & grill, microwave, fridge, dishwasher & washing machine. Dining table overlooking garden with six chairs. Bathroom with bath, shower over, WC & washbasin Upstairs Both bedrooms are within the eaves of the cottage Bedroom One with king size double bed (5ft) Bedroom Two with two single beds. Outside The cottage is semi-detached & wrapped by a private garden with an apple tree remaining from the cider making days. To the rear there is a patio with seating & table. Pets Welcome (one max). Children Welcome. Cot & High Chair available. Heating & Electricity incl. Off street parking for two cars. Wifi available.
