Flagstone floors, a wood burning stove, lead & mullion windows, beams & wonky floors give this a truly unique 'shabby-chic' appeal. It overlooks the countryside & although there is one neighbour about 70 yards away, you really are totally secluded. Hooky Cottage is a gorgeous thatched cottage situated close to the centre of this lovely village, itself located in the northern part of the Cotswolds. The cottage has a long history & has a wealth of period features that give it real character. Naturally the thatch is very appealing (and rare!), but the beams, wood burning stove and Cotswold stone walls give the cottage a real homely, cosy feel that sets it apart from many others. The cottage is ideal for two, but can easily accommodate an extra person as there is a second bedroom. The owners have undertaken some recent updates & these give it a welcoming feel, mixing 'period' & 'modern' in a tasteful way. There is a small patio area to the rear along with a separate south facing garden area. With some great pubs moments away and proximity to superb walks on your doorstep, this is an ideal 'rural retreat' for a couple or couple with a young child.
