Product Description

The Old Reading Room is an exceptionally well presented, personal & romantic country cottage (three proposals have taken place here to date) set in the heart of this lovely and tranquil village. The cottage which itself is contemporary & light, & fantastically located to explore the Cotswolds, has been meticulously restored (and maintained) to a very high specification from what was originally the old school room where local children would have practised their reading & music. The cottage provides light, airy & extremely welcoming accommodation set across two floors, with a number of traditional features balancing out a clean & modern feel, including traditional Cotswold stone walls, open-log burning fire & pretty beams. Externally the property has access to a peaceful, secluded country cottage garden. The Old Reading Room is situated in the heart of Bledington, an archetypal Cotswold village with a quintessential village green, attractive stream with Bledington ducks, together with the acclaimed Kings Head pub. In our opinion this is a stunning English Country Cottage that is certain to delight.ACCOMMODATION Entrance through to Kitchen / Dining Area, superbly equipped with granite-style breakfast bar with leather breakfast stools, electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave & fridge & freezer. Table & chairs. Spacious Sitting Room with open fire (initial supply of logs & kindling provided), large sofa & built-in cupboard housing a TV with DVD. This room also has an entrance door. A good supply of classic & contemporary books & games are available. Stairs leading to First Floor Galleried Bedroom with 4' 6"double bed & view towards the private garden, plus Ensuite Shower Room with shower cubicle, wash basin & WC. Outside Patio with table & chairs & small BBQ. Parking for one guest car only. Friday changeover preferred (although flexible
- so please do make a separate enquiry). Please No Pets. Sorry, this property is not suitable for children or babies. Off street parking. Please note that the owner lives 'next door' in the delightful Thatched Cottage. Please note: the owner requires a damages deposit of £75 a week in advance of arrival. Gas & electricity included. The owner respectfully requests no smoking inside the cottage please!
