Stone Wheel Cottage is a light & spacious character cottage situated in the stunning village of Hook Norton
- famous for its award winning local brewery producing ' Hookie'. Surrounded by lawns & classic, picturesque gardens this charming period property is ideal for families or a small group who like to get away to the countryside to a truly traditional village. Internally the cottage is presented in a traditional style, creating a very warm & welcoming feel for your stay. Externally the garden is absolutely lovely & yet secure plus there is a covered swimming pool (PLEASE NOTE: the pool is not heated 1st October - Easter). With a good selection of local pubs this is sure to please everyone! superb value for your money.ACCOMMODATION: Entrance through to hallway Kitchen/ Diner, a very large & spacious room ideal for entertaining. Kitchen Area well equipped with with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, (Please note that there is a washing machine & tumble drier in the utility room) Dining Area with dining table & chairs, plus sofa. Living Room with sofa & armchairs, electric 'flame effect' fire, TV & DVD, leading to conservatory overlooking garden patio Bathroom / Wet Room with shower, WC & washbasin Upstairs Master Bedroom with double bed, wardrobe & chest of drawers plus views towards the garden Bedroom Two with double bed, wardrobe & chest of drawers Bedroom Three with two single beds, wardrobe & chest of drawers Family Bathroom with bath, shower over, WC & washbasin. Outside There is a small patio area to the rear of the cottage, which leads to the delightful garden that rolls down towards fields & a copse. Within the garden are a variety of fruit trees & wonderful flowers. There is also a large, indoor swimming pool which is for guests' & owners' use. (Please note: the pool is not heated 1st Oct - Easter). Heating & electricity included all year. Cots & high chair available. Wifi & payphone available. Location The village as you would expect has several good pubs, along with a very good general store & Post Office & serves as a charming base for visiting Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, Blenheim Palace, Broughton Castle & other Cotswolds delights. The owners have made a special arrangement with the local golf club (five minutes drive away) for subsidised pay & play rates. Riding is also available close by. There is a Pottery adjacent to the cottage, which sells a great variety of tableware, lamps & gifts made by a range of local craftspeople.
