Product Description

Peter's Nest Cottage. Set within a clearing called " Peter's Nest Wood", also known mysteriously as Hell's Throat, this quaint, period cottage is the perfect choice for peace with the only sound the local wildlife hooting & chirping in the background!! Originally the cottage of the Woodwells farmstead (marked on an 1847 map) this old farm cottage has been carefully enhanced so as to retain all the character of its history while providing warm, comfortable self catering accommodation. The cottage is at the end of a track, on the edge of some woods, ideal for those who like to get away from it all. Internally the cottage has an open plan feel on the ground floor and bedroom upstairs set within the eaves. From your door you can walk for hours & hours across the paths on the Manor Estate (which owns Peter's Nest) & which has been recognised as one of England's most romantic manor houses. (It's open to view at certain times of the year) - Prince Charles describes it as one of his favourite villages in all of Engl&. ACCOMMODATION: The accommodation is presented in a simple & traditional style that would make the cottage perfect for getting away from the city. Downstairs, the property is entered through the welcoming Kitchen with electric hob, oven, fridge, small freezer & microwave, which leads down into the Living Room
- a room that has wonderful views across the woods & into the Owlpen valley, woodburning stove. As well as a comfortable Sitting Area, there is an attractive dining area. The Bathroom (bath with shower over) is on the ground floor. Upstairs Double Attic Bedroom, with double bed & enjoying spectacular views to the West down the Owlpen valley. There is also a small private garden. Outside The property is flanked by beautiful trees, there isn't a garden (so to speak!) instead you have open grassed areas to the trees. There is a table & chairs for you to enjoy the peace. Central heating included all year around. Ample parking. Pets Welcomed. Monday or Friday changeover preferred, but please enquire. Short Breaks welcome all year.
