Product Description

Lying on a north-west-facing slope of the Clare Valley, Jim Barry's vineyard is a natural sun trap, providing superb ripening conditions for Shiraz. Dense & violet in colour, the wine has an abundance of blackberry & mulberry flavours, with notes of mint & eucalyptus adding tremendous complexity on the palate, leading to a long finish packed with cinnamon, star anise & hints of rosemary. Aged in French & American oak for 17 months, the wine is polished & generous in its youth, but will develop immeasurably given 10+ years in bottle.
