Viña Albina Reserva is a very traditional style of Rioja wine, made from 80% Tempranillo, 15% Mazuelo & 5% Graciano. Aged for up to 30 months in American oak casks, its style places much emphasis on savoury secondary characters, & favours elegance over outright power. The 1991 is now nicely evolved & drinking well, with a faintly herbal & nutty nose, & a fine & complex palate structure.
