Mah Jongg is the national game of China where it was suppressed under chairman Mao because of it's addictive nature. It is now played worldwide, most particularly in Japan, USA, where Mah Jongg leagues abound. It is a game for four in which players collect sets of the differently engraved tiles to complete a hand & score the appropriate bonus. A hand take 5 minutes, a full game up to 3 hours. The Chinese tiles are referenced in English & the rules are clearly written for begginers. Note: This set does not include the 4 blank spare tiles found in some sets. The wooden Mah Jongg Racks illustrated can be purchased seperately. Not suitable for children under 36 months
