The 48 rhyming cards in this box can be used to play 3 different versions of this game. In version one, players each choose a card, & have to pick another from the cards spread face down on the table that rhymes with the one they have chosen. The aim is to make as many rhyming pairs as they can, & they have to make up a sentence using the cards that they have. They can increase their scores by collecting three or four rhyming cards, but must make up a sentence using all the rhyming cards they have. Once they have a rhyming pair, players can continue by taking more cards from the middle, aiming to produce more rhymes. The winner is the person with the highest score. In the second version of the game, players try to match the word from the top of a pile by turning over unseen cards on the table, collecting pairs that rhyme as they go. The winner is the person with the most rhyming pairs at the end of the game. In the third game, players each take a hand of two cards, & pick unseen cards from the table which they hope will rhyme with one of the cards in their h&. If they find a rhyming pair, they put the pair to one side & pick another to bring their hand back up to two cards. The winner is the player with the most rhyming pairs at the end of the game. Made from durable, thick card, & with colourful, cheerful illustrations & clear writing, this will help children with literacy skills. The game is suitable for 2 to 4 players, ideally aged from 5 to 9. ...
