This is an ideal situation for touring the north & west Highlands, Loch Ness is only a short drive & there are numerous beauty spots & forestry walks/ trails to be enjoyed. The area is well known for its sporting activities which include climbing, stalking, fishing, pony trekking, walking & cycling. For less strenuous activities, this is a popular spot for bird watching, photography & painting. This unique habitat of glens, lochs & Ancient Caledonian Pine Forests is home to many rare species including pine marten, otters, red squirrels, buzzards & the majestic golden eagle.
