This dual Voltage (24/12V 20 Amp maximum) high frequency battery charger features inverter & micro-processor technology which is suitable for charging batteries such as conventional lead calcium, absorbent glass matt (AGM) & gel batteries. The energy efficient inverter protects the battery from high current damage by automatically varying the charging voltage. Variable current output 20 Amp (12V only), 10 Amp or 2 Amp provides a quick, medium or trickle charge as required. Simple 12V, 24V push button selection. Controlled by a microprocessor, it has the advantage over conventional battery chargers of being able to provide a charging rate which is appropriate for the charge of the battery. It also has the facility for fully automatic & maintenance charging, optimising performance & prolonging the life of the battery. LED charge indicator assists maintenance charging. Fully protected against short-circuit, reversed polarity, faulty battery, incorrect battery voltage, current overload, thermal overload & low supply voltage. LED display warns against the use of a faulty battery & incorrect voltage. An audible alarm sounds if a short-circuit occurs. Simple push button control. Lightweight protective casing with comfort handle. Handy storage compartment neatly stores clamps & supply cable at the rear of the product.
