The Kano Low Energy Downlight has a combined universal ballast & so is suitable for either 2 x 18W or 2 x 26W bulbs. This fitting is suitable for use in multiple applications through the use of interchangeable accessories. Variable IP Rating The downlight is rated IP20. This is, however, increased to IP65 when used with the flush glass diffuser so would be suitable for bathrooms & outdoor areas. Accessories The diffusers are all manufactured from toughened glass (not cross blade louvre) so are less susceptible to damage. The part frosted diffusers & the Cat 2 cross blade louvre reduce glare while the clear glass diffusers provide maximum light out put. High Frequency The high frequency control gear gives up to 50% longer lamp compared to standard switch start, which makes for further savings on replacement bulb cost.
