- having tried every diet, excluded almost every food group & eaten some very odd things for breakfast, all in a bid to lose weight, Elaine found that she never stuck to any of these plans for very long, finding them too difficult to fit into her everyday life and always putting the weight back on.
When she turned 30, everything threatened to start travelling south & suddenly eating well became something that needed to be part of everyday life, not a pre-event/post-holiday panic. Then a few years later she fell pregnant & found she had 50 pounds to shift. (She refers to this fondly as the time she accidentally ate an elephant).
Like most of us, after giving birth she was determined to shed the baby weight as soon as possible (not scary celebrity 6 weeks later stuff, but "oh god let me back into normal clothes"). Fed up with 'off-the-shelf' diets she went online to look for a personalised plan that would fit around her lifestyle. The trouble was she couldn't find one.
This is when porridgeontuesday was conceived.
