Take your family on a wonderful old-fashioned Easter day out as Good Friday marks the celebration of the 75th anniversary of locomotive No.32678 on the Kent & East Sussex line!
This locomotive was 60 years old then – now 135 she is still going strong! Come & ride a piece of history as you take a riveting excursion into the momentous 1066 country. On Saturday 4th, Sunday 5th & Monday 6th the Railway’s steam locomotives will be joined by a gathering of beautiful miniature traction engines at Bodiam Station. The award winning Colonel Stephens Railway Museum at Tenterden Station will also be open (with a seperate admission) that houses a large number of personal relics & memorabilia of the railway engineer & manager, Colonel Stephens.
The Kent & East Sussex Railway is the country's finest example of a rural light railway that gently winds its way from glorious Tenterden (with its broad & leafy High Street charmingly lined with Tudor, Regency & Victorian buildings)
