Yesterday's World in Battle, with fantastic interactive displays, skillfully modelled characters, nostalgic artefacts, & authentic smells & sounds of the past!  125 years of British social living history with a walk round superbly recreated life-size street scenes & shop displays with evocative sounds & smells of the past.  150, 000 nostalgic artefacts are displayed over five floors including the amazing royalty room which houses memorablia from the Royal Family. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of WWI, a new ‘ Great War Trenches Experience’ has been recreated to give you the opportunity to experience what life was like in the trenches during the First World War (1914-1918).   See the effects of the Second World War on towns & cities through the recreation of an outside blitz street scene complete with replica unexploded bomb & underground air raid shelter complete with bunk beds.
