CAT6 cable has a higher twist rate than CAT5/5e cabling. This means that it is less prone to noise as the higher twists help to cancel out noise in the signal pairs. But it also means that the pairs of cables are of different lengths and the three video colours, RGB, each sent down a pair of cables, will arrive at different times. This can cause a problem called colour split where the three colours Red, Green and Blue appear separately on the display. Normally the red is to the left and the blue to the right. This can be solved using this product's skew compensation function which will rebalance the length of pairs and bring the video colours back in line.

The design offers the ability to add a second console featuring IP remote access via an optional remote access module. Using this method, administrators can access their servers and KVM switches from almost anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Screen resolutions of up to 1920 x 1440 are supported and a fully featured on-screen display system is also provided to allow easy setup and management.
The LINDY U8C Modular KVM switch is designed to be easily installed into the back of our range of Modular LCD KVM Consoles to add multiple server/computer control, and is based on our U8 Modular KVM switch.
The U8C Modular KVM switch supports traditional PS/2 mouse and keyboard connections as well as modern USB connections and supports Windows, Mac and SUN operating systems.
The U8C Modular KVM switch features a modular design offering the ability to add a second console featuring remote access either via an IP remote extension unit or via a remote Cat.5 extender unit. Using this method, system administrators are able to access and administrate their servers and KVM switches from a remote office workstation. The optional access modules can be purchased separately and are simply installed into the back of the U8C Modular KVM switch.
The U8C KVM has a fully featured OSD (On Screen Display), allowing the easy set up and management of the switch, and supports resolutions up to 1920x1440 using the local console.
This KVM switch incorporates a modular design concept which allows for dual console access. The switch can also be daisy chained with further U8/16C Modular KVM Switches to control up to 128 servers/workstations from 8 daisy chained 16 port KVM switches.
Please note: this switch is not designed to be used in combination with the LINDY 19" KVM Console Basic (Part No. 21733)
The SC5-IP KVM Switch is a 16 port KVM switch which allows users to access and control up to 16 different computers from a local or remote location. Its advanced design makes use of CAT5/5e structured cabling to provide high quality linking for both computers and KVM consoles. This allows greater connection distances than when using standard KVM cables. The SC5-IP allows access to the switch via an IP network or internet connection using a Real VNC client application.
Unique CAM (Computer Access Module) technology is used to make the connections to the computers at up to 10m, whilst remote 'User Stations' are used to connect to the operators at up to 300m. CAM modules are available to support a variety of platforms including PCs, Macs and SUN systems.

The MC5-IP KVM Switch is a 24 port KVM switch which allows multiple users to access and control up to 24 different computers. Its advanced design makes use of CAT5/5e structured cabling to provide high quality linking for both computers and KVM consoles. This allows greater connection distances than when using standard KVM cables.
The MC5-IP additionally allows up to four global users to share access to the switch via an IP network/internet connection using a RealVNC client application. A modem/ISDN port provides an alternative backup connection should the network link suffer a failure. Optional power switch control allows you to remotely perform a hard reset on any hosts system.
Unique CAM (Computer Access Module) technology is used to make the connections to the computers at up to 50m, whilst remote 'User Stations' are used to connect to the operators at up to 300m. CAM modules are available to support a variety of platforms including PCs, Macs and SUN systems.
