Description & construction: Oval pedestal table with base in lacquered or brilliant-chromed metal, & top in 22mm thick fibreboard finished in a choice of oak veneer or lacquer. Designer: Martino D’Esposito: Born in Cyprus in 1976, of Italian-Swiss origin, Martino d'Esposito spent his childhood in the Middle East before studying in Switzerland. Later, he set his sights on interior decoration, then industrial design, studying at the prestigious Ecole Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne, where he obtained first a Bachelors and then a Masters in 2004. Professor of industrial design in the same school since 2003 and an independent designer since 2004, he leans towards common objects, attempting to enrich them by imbuing them with a second meaning, a
wink or irony.
