The 527VS-H uses an enhanced Max Air Flow steel deck which is deeper & has a larger discharge channel than previous decks. These improvements will aid the performance & collection efficiency of the mower. This model replaces the 5250HWSThe self-propelled Highline 527 VS-H has 4 mowing functions so you can choose between collection, rear discharge, side discharge & mulch.  Instead of just collecting the grass cuttings you can choose between ejecting them to the rear of the mower, discharging them through a chute to the side or mulching them into tiny pieces. Mulching is a good way to recycle the grass & feed the lawn as the tiny grass pieces are rich in nutrients & as they wilt they will release these back into the soil. The side discharge chute is useful in longer grass areas where the cuttings can be left to wilt down naturally.
