The Mountfield MCS2200 has a powerful 2200w brushed electric motor & is constructed of a highly durable plastic with a metal tube base / stand & transport wheels. By tipping the shredder gently backwards you can move it easily to the required area. The MCS2200 stands at a comfortable working height of 95 cm (37”) so you shouldn’t need to bend when feeding branches down through the chute. The supplied paddle/plunger is to feed shorter material & branches into the hopper, preventing you from the dangerous practice of hand feeding the shredder. Always avoid putting hands or fingers into the top or bottom of the machine. The 2200w Mountfield MCS shredder is so easy to operate, press the green button to start & the red button to stop. The reversible metal blade shreds branches up to 40 mm in diameter & to make life even easier any cuttings are then collected into a 50 l waste bag. The collection bag attaches with straps to the shredder & sits underneath the hopper. Just detach the bag for emptying. As the bag is constructed of special material you can see when it is filling up & needs emptying. The Mountfield MCS2200 electric impact shredder comes with a 4 metre mains cable but can be used with an outdoor extension cable (not supplied) if necessary.
