The Mc Culloch CS400T 40cc 16ﾔ petrol chainsaw utilises a 40cc Oxy Power engine which has a power output of 1.5kw. The Oxy Power engine is environmentally friendly but doesnﾒt sacrifice power. It produces up to 70% less exhaust emissions & has up to 20% lower fuel consumption. The fuel tank capacity is 0.3 litres & the oil tank capacity is 0.2 litres. The engine has Soft Start technology which reduces resistance in the starter cord by up to 40%. This means the engine is much easier & quicker to start. It also has a Purge pump which means that you can manually pump fuel in to the carburettor which also makes the machine easier to start. This chainsaw has a built in tool-less chain tensioning system which is extremely useful if you are out on a job & need to adjust the chain. The chain pitch is 3/8ﾔ, the gauge is 0.05ﾔ & the maximum chain speed is 18.5m/s. This machine is also equipped with Mc Cullochﾒs CCS centrifugal air cleaning system which reduces the amount of maintenance the machine requires & increases itﾒs durability. This machine is very comfortable to use, it weighs only 5.5kg which makes it easy to manoeuvre. It also has a built in anti-vibration system which greatly reduces the amount of vibration you receive while operating the machine. The handles also have a soft grip which increases user comfort. This machine also has a number of safety features including the double activated chain brake. The double activated chain brake means that the chain can be stop by either using the chain brake lever or by inertia.
