In tall growth conditions the side discharge mode neatly cuts & spreads the grass so it can be left to wilt naturally. This side discharge deck is ideal for informal, longer areas of grass such as paddocks or orchards but with the optional mulching kit fitted can easily produce a good finish on more formal lawns. The MTD Lawnflite RF125M is fitted with an MTD 420cc OHV engine & Transmatic variable speed, 6 speed gear box. The Transmatic gearbox means that you can pre-select a gear & then just use the speed control pedal to control speed rather than continually having to change gears.
