Phil & Chris Rose (makers of Tikohi Sauvignon) were pioneers in Marlboroughs Wairau River region. Their sons Sam & Hamish are also in the wine game & Kora, meaning distant place, is their own delicious creation from the family estate. Its crisp & aromatic with gooseberry & passionfruit complexity. The Rose clan are largely self sufficient, raising livestock, fishing, making their own olive oil & growing vegetables. When the three generations (all 23 of them) sit down to eat, they often enjoy a glass of Kora with seafood theyve caught or dived for themselves in the Marlborough Sound. You can share the good life, too. Just pop down to your local fish counter, gather the family & open a well chilled bottle of Kora.
