Product Description

The Mellot family have been Sancerre growers since 1513
- in fact, Cesar Mellot was Wine Advisor to Louis XIV. They are also leaders in environmental conservation. They boast the prized, steep sloping La Chatellenie vineyard in Sancerre, but also the 30 hectare Mousserie estate with its premium soils & superb terroir. Pinot Noir is ideal for delicate reds & roses thanks to thin skins. Picked early, the grapes also have great freshness. This Reserve Prestige comes from La Grande Petite vendage
- a year that saw tiny yields everywhere bar in the Central Vineyards, & all of outstanding quality. Enjoy intense berry fruit with nervy crispness & great finesse. Irresistible solo, with fish, seafood, chicken or a vegetable terrine.
